Aster announced an update to its tokenomics and a restructuring of ecosystem emissions, replacing the previous monthly linear unlocking mechanism with a staking-only emission model.

Previously, 78.4 million ASTER (approximately 1% of the maximum supply) were unlocked on a linear schedule each month; after the update, ecosystem tokens will only be released as staking rewards, currently at a rate of 450,000 ASTER per cycle (weekly), equivalent to a monthly release of 1.8 million to 2.25 million ASTER.

Aster stated that since the TGE on September 17, 2025, all unlocked ecosystem and community tokens, aside from staking rewards, have remained untouched, and the relevant token holdings can be publicly verified through addresses starting with 0x0A55.
